The Absurdity of Peer Review
The original idea behind peer review might be sound but as in everything, insider relationships form that have no other reason to be than scratching each other’s backs. It’s a bit like having managers from different companies on each other’s supervisory board. I will cover your misdeeds, you will cover mine. Peer review by someone who subscribes to the same belief system or is beholden to it is worthless. Get reviewed by someone who does not share your beliefs and then we talk.
