I once read a great book from Julian Lincoln Simon, a former professor from Princeton. In “The Ultimate Resource 2” he postulated he explained that more people would lead to more innovation and that scarcity drives those innovative pulses. More people improve the future of all mankind if those creative pulses are given enough leash. We could feed the entire world’s population with a tiny patch of land if we used the best available farming methods on it. We will need to think about boosting population growth as otherwise, the downward slide becomes an avalanche.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
