Politicians love poor voters. The poor can easily be bought off with all kinds of gifts which helps keep them sweet. And poor people have no time to look into their politician’s shady dealings as they struggle with everyday problems. No politician will ever strive to do anything that would make people truly free and independent. Workers’ parties will never want to solve workers’ problems for free as otherwise their “raison d’etre” goes away. So it is for parties that claim to save the environment.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
