The Russia-Ukraine war remapped the world’s energy supplies, putting the U.S. at the top for years to come

In August 2015, almost 8 years before now, I published an article called: “Pax Americana on steroids” on my methanist blog. In it, I described how shale would push the US economy to the top above any other. That was before the war in Ukraine, before COVID, before the China miracle had started to show serious cracks, and even before Trump was president. The US has been on this journey for a long time and its best days are yet to come. Many have seen the US fade so far but they could not have been more wrong. America is still rising. It will – no doubt – fade for real one day but I doubt that this will happen in my lifetime or that of my children.
