If the stuff in those panels and batteries would be worth the pain, there would already be companies in the wings waiting for every single one. In Vienna, I see trucks buzz around for collecting restaurant grease they bring to bio-digesters. This trash has value now. I don’t see that on the horizon with solar panels and batteries. But fossil energy projects need to set aside money for their decommissioning – where is the cash for RE decommissioning?
