This cheap buying of indulgences should be called out for what it really is. If at least they would financially support real reforestation projects but they just buy bragging rights. And the worst is that it prevents those companies from having to deal with the consequences of their inconsistencies. The green movements are just as guilty of this hypocrisy as long as they don’t call those bad actors out. Having to feel the real consequences of the policies one supports has an educational effect. Time to make them stick.
