Thurrock Council set to borrow nearly £850m to repay solar farm debts

They can impossibly be in financial trouble. We were told that wind and solar are the cheapest energy forms by any measure and that soon we would stop metering electricity due to the negligible cost of it all. Where do those mountain-high debts come from then? Must be something else. Ahh, those dastardly fossil backup options that dare to charge renewables for the backup services they provide. Dare we forget that only wind and solar need those backups? And energy systems only built of reliable energy forms will never need them. So, with wind and solar, you pay twice. For virtue signaling and then again for the real energy. Cough it up.
