I had argued for a long time that people, cities, regions, or states that profess radical climate policy should at the very least walk the walk and not only talk the talk. Germany has long used neighboring countries to paper over their renewable energy-caused energy disaster. But increasingly, those neighboring countries need their own capacity. And now, the war in Ukraine has pulled the rug under their feet. If Germany would have had to endure the blessings of their failed policies much earlier, they might have taken corrective action and by now, the war would not hit them as hard.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
