UK Gas Production Could Plunge 75% By 2030 With No New Investment

I don’t think this is a resource problem. I am not an upstream man but my limited understanding of this domain tells me that a hydrocarbon region such as the North Sea still holds an awful lot of stuff we need. But oil and gas have become big no-no’s for Westminster and there is a public perception problem. The true issues with UK energy (or indeed in any country) are building up over long periods of neglect. The consequences have a habit of hitting hard and in short timespans when business as usual does not cut it anymore. Uk does not have a resource problem – it has a policy and perception problem.
