What Would Happen if They Threw a War and it Upset Europe’s Climate Plans?
In a sense, the war in Ukraine has even reinforced the green’s determination to go for the so-called energy transition. Their rationale is that energy from Russia is unsafe and we need something that we can control. You may call it energy nationalism of sorts. Let’s use what we have within our borders instead of depending on foreign madmen. But if what is inside the borders is equivalent to what we imported, that could maybe work. But it is not. Wind and solar are impossibly expensive and unreliable. That said, the revival will be short as there is no more appetite for suffering.
