We may turn and twist it the way we want but the one single greatest enabler for people anywhere in the world to get ahead is reliable and affordable energy. It’s what gets a kid to school, food on the table, and enables people to provision for more than a day. Or read at night. But this is being made impossible with the current silliness of trying to foist intermittent, unreliable, and very expensive energy upon everyone. Making energy expensive and unreliable is one of the biggest crimes against humanity ever.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
