The Uighur issue is only one in a big pond. I guess China did not expect the world to hold its feet to fire over this and many other issues but such is reality. If you feed those who shall undermine your rivals from the inside, they will eventually start to go after you. I bet the US did not expect the Mujahedin to eventually turn against them. China has fed the green action groups hoping they would weaken their rivals. They did, and now they go after them. Kery sure would like to walk away from this. I guess he cant anymore.

John Kerry insists he will not compromise on pressuring China to improve treatment of persecuted minorities like Christians and Uighurs, to win a global climate agreement. But I'm not sure I believe him.
