Just look at this. The sheer amount of stuff that goes into one of those monstrosities. Entire landscapes need to be razed, dug up, blasted down, entire buildings worth of concrete and steel need to be welded and poured. None of those materials can be produced by using renewable energy. All need reliable and stable energy sources which all contribute to the pollution backpack they carry. And then you only got a windmill at an efficiency of 20% at best. Most of the time it will be less. Where is Don Quixote when we need one?
