With Brand New LNG terminal and a gas mega hub, Equatorial Guinea drives the African game

That is actually a very interesting development. Africa cannot use large LNG terminals in most cases. Their needs are much more modest and it’s hard to get those big terminals financed. Smaller terminals are more adapted to the actual needs and they can grow with the flow. Besides, all African producers face the same problem. They share an ocean basin with the up-and-coming LNG producer of choice, the US. This means a lot of competition for its own producers and Asia is a long way off. Using their own LNG in order to develop the continent makes a lot of sense. Good on them. I will keep my eyes on this and fingers crossed.
