Thats a bit like Russia hoping that the northern sea route will open up for commercial shipping. They must believe in this very much as they have already sunk tens of billions of investment that cannot be used other than with open nordic waters. Gore must have told them there would be no more ice from 2020 on. Thats why they need so many icebreakers. Oh, and the grand solar minimum retransforms the big north into an ice wasteland again. Dying Olive trees are cheaper.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
