Zeeland removing wind turbines after several issues

I know that all the renewable advocates will jump up and find 1000 reasons why this has nothing to do with impossibly high costs (maintenance hogs that nobody ever factors into the calculus) and the dangers of wind power (how about stuff that flies off all the time?). Wind energy is not new and the hype starts to wear off as public budgets start to drown under the weight of those bird, bat, and insect-killing money munchers. Just look at how many of those windmills are rotating today – we will have to dismantle all of them at taxpayer and ratepayer cost as the project companies have no money to do that and will go bust the moment the bubble pops.
