Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal would reshape the economy in 10 years. That could shock the energy sector

I have a suggestion. Take the district that elected AOC into Congress, disconnect them from all fossil generating possibilities and give them 100% renewable energy only with no possibility for balancing with anything non-renewable which means that they become a power island. Let them enjoy the blessings of the Green New Deal in advance for the rest of America to watch. The inhabitants of the concerned district will become staunch anti renewable supporters in no time after repeated blackouts and brownouts plus the highest electricity cost in the US. In 2 years AOC is back serving meals.

The millennial architects of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal appear to be drawing inspiration from the old mantra of their generation’s most iconic company: “Move fast and break things.”
