New York’s energy future? Don’t you worry about that. New York is a failed city to be very soon and those always experience a lot of outward migration of those who consume the most energy to other places. They take their businesses with them. They will leave an empty husk of a city behind. Strangely, New York might well become the place it was shown to be in the Snake Plisken movies – a downtrodden place where only those remain that can’t afford to move. And those don’t need a lot of energy.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
