As Europe shifts to clean energy, does it still need so much US LNG?

Europe does not shift to clean energy. Europe is in a deep recession and goes into a depression that may last decades. This will rip the European Union apart and the economic shrinking will also reduce consumption of anything. Some small countries might recover through a combination of small industries, innovation, and tourism – others will revert to dirigisme par excellence. But there will be total failures and the way things stand right now, Germany might be one of them. If you are not younger than 50 years and live in Europe, that’s the last big development you are ever going to experience.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
