Methane is a natural consequence of any energy evolution. It’s the clean pinnacle of hydrocarbons and as soon as we accept that hydrocarbons have been the greatest boon for humankind but also for this planet, as soon we can start working towards the highest rung. Should we subsidize it? No, should be enacted very strenuous regulations pushing people towards methane? No, the market will do it when it’s ready. And when people understand its advantages. But first, we need to get our heads straight.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
