Democratic governments will have to start explaining why 75% of the population won’t be able to afford a car anymore to its electorate. hardly a vote-getter and knowing politicians the shit slinging will be intense. People want their car – they will tolerate if fuel gets a bit more expensive for a while (not forever) but if you make their favorite toy unaffordably expensive, they will roast the politicians that brought that. This has an expiry date printed all over.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
