Boris is in a sweet pickle. Sweet because after his historic win he has a free hand to reform Britain. Pickle because now he must deliver. And BREXIT is yesterday’s problem. His much bigger one is that his new voters are a fickle bunch. They have voted for him in hopes that he makes their lives better. Trump-style. Weighing down the economy with senseless rules protecting us from a problem that does not even exist is one such thing. The cash thus saved may go to programs that actually help people. And the entrepreneurial freedom created might turn BREXIT into a success story. Boris has a keen ear on voters’ concerns. Their paycheck is their biggest one as they just showed us.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
