The greatest advantage conventional energy always had besides being so concentrated and convenient to use is that its generation facilities are so small, that they almost disappear in the landscape. From a few miles away one would not know that a powerplant was nearby. Not so with solar and most certainly not with wind. Those contraptions are very widely visible and should not be where people live. And people wake up to that in many countries. Good luck with new projects.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
