About 500 years ago, the Christian church split right down the middle during the reformation. One of the biggest triggers was the practice of selling indulgences. This was a practice through which the church allowed wealthy individuals to reduce or cancel their time in purgatory for money. No wonder people found this disgustingly unjust. Today’s cult of climatology has installed the same indulgences sale for their own benefit of course. Pay us and you won’t be shamed. Better yet, pay us and you will be able to piss everyone off by sowing off how green you are while all those that have to sin for mere survival will be bludgeoned by social shaming. That’s a protection money racket the mob could not have designed better.
