China Is The World’s Largest Oil & Gas Importer

That’s a very dubious distinction. Combine that with the fact that most of what’s imported into China comes by sea and China has only one coast towards the ocean. It should be way more interested in safe shipping and open shipping lanes. Yet, its the biggest bully in the region in the South China Sea. Stir up trouble in some shipping lanes and China would suffer incredibly. If I was China I would work towards more stability, not less.

What might not be so well known is that China has also been leading the world in new oil and gas imports.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
