Chinese energy demand makes tentative recovery
Chinas planners have decreed that the world will need China’s products more than ever and that production must be cranked up. Oh, the economic figures have suffered enough and need urgent prettying up as the doctrine it feeds its own people is that the CCP makes everything grow and hence better so one should not criticize it. And that rosy picture does not survive bad news for long enough. More activity means more energy consumption – for now. How long can it hold up?
