Right now, a very longtime friend of mine is going through hell. He has been married for almost 2 decades to the same woman, has kids and a business with her, and aside from normal differences between adults, they lived a pretty decent life. Then, a couple of years ago, a relative talked them into getting partner advice from professionals to make their marriage even more fulfilling. My friend is decently superstitious so he agreed. Right now, they go through divorce proceedings and their kids have estranged themselves. I always had a healthy distrust of, as I call them, flutterhead professions.
