Commissioner Crenshaw Says SEC is Not a Merit-Based Regulator in Response to Climate Rulemaking Criticism

I know, it’s a reviled term but the tentacles of the Deep State reach far. Very far indeed. Taxpayer-fed public bodies have a natural tendency to bloat. Sometimes they even outlive their usefulness. When I was a few decades younger I remember a much-televised series on useless public administrations. There were a couple of city gate wardens for cities that had no walls and no gates, there were offices for reconstruction when reconstruction had been terminated decades ago. The SEC clearly has a useful role but it should be very limited. Time for SCOTUS to step in and do its job.
