Defunct Albanian natural gas fields could be operational soon

One thing the Italian gas market lacks sorely is underground storage. There are some but it’s never really enough. Albania is close to Italy and depending on where this field is it could be connected or even used as a storage site – Due Diligence must be done of course. If I was in a storage-constricted market I would look at anything that might provide relief.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
