Earth Day at 50: Progress, Not Politics, Cleaned Up America
I have said so many times and I will not tire saying so again. I am 50 years old now and I have seen my own country (and quite a number of other countries) change while roaming this planet. It was dangerous to swim in rivers in my youth. some of them had only microbial life – often not even that. They sport trouts today. This was done using the money capitalism generated and the solutions scientific and technological progress this money afforded us. It was not the deed of some well-meaning superhuman. Rich countries clean up their act – poor countries cannot afford to do so. Just look around. Greens want to make us poor again – and hence will destroy much of what we have accomplished.
