We don’t have an energy crisis in Europe. We have a fundamental economic crisis in Europe as expensive energy makes everything else expensive and this means that our industries that have struggled for years are hopelessly lost. Those companies either die off or leave Europe. And they won’t come back if things just go back to the situation before the war. As this was already pretty bad. Europe looks at the end of its stint as an industrial power. Asia is way lighter on regulation and wages and the US takes the prize on energy cost and reliability as well as innovation. Europe has no easy way out of this.
