Europe’s carbon price hits new record as natural gas becomes scarce

Another element makes energy way too expensive for normal people to afford. And when all the money printing is over, we will have to take a good hard look at the cost stack that we have saddled ourselves with. Because not only are we sitting in the dark and cold because of unreliable power, but we also pay way over the top for those unreliable services. Getting out of the CO2 pricing madness will be an important step toward economic health.

Businesses are burning coal and even oil to keep power stations and factories running while cleaner-burning natural gas becomes increasingly scarce. The situation threatens to push up Europe’s carbon footprint this year.
