Foreign oil firms bailing on Canada in $30 billion exodus

My Grandpa told me “Ugly brides need to be extra nice”. Canada has turned into an ugly bride. Why – high cost. They could have absorbed some of that ugliness by being extra nice to O&G – but here they were extra ugly as well from what I hear. Not a recipe for success. People always only learn the hard way it seems.

Capital keeps marching out of Canada’s oil industry, with Kinder Morgan’s sale of its remaining holdings in the country on Wednesday adding to more than $30 billion of foreign-company divestitures in the past three years.
