Frackers Push Into Once-Dead Shale Patches as Oil Nears $100 a Barrel

New acreage – yay. Then again – I am way more excited about what existing operators are going to do with already developed patches. Because I have a feeling that they will want to milk those patches for what they are worth. Shale is not like a “strike me and empty me” kind of operations. They are like a field that can be made to produce for long times if and when the right methods to restimulate your well are employed.
