Germany aims to get 100% of energy from renewable sources by 2035

Renewable energy is very much the most important source of pain not only in this situation. If the German grid was still backed up by a lot of nuclear and also had coal in the backhand, not having gas from Russia would not hit them so hard. If Germany had looked at alternatives earlier, it would also not be in this pickle. But it speaks of the delusion at the heart of the German government. They either don’t understand what hurts them or they are ice-cold sociopaths that will gladly run their national economy into a wall of rock for the sake of some soundbites.
