Life is hard when you were used to buyers coming and kissing your behind in order to get volumes and now you actually find out that you need sales. My compassion is limited though. LNG project developers and producers had this coming for a long while. It was their sheer hubris and arrogance that shielded them. No more.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
