Halliburton, Sekal collaborate on automated well construction solutions for oil, gas industry

Where can you automate? First in places where you have access to great infrastructure and fast services in case things go awry. And contrary to the rosy world politicians and activists seem to live in, there are always things to go wrong in the real world. So, I expect this to be tested and deployed in North America and maybe Europe first. Some other developed countries as well but the big OPEC+ members are usually not in the club. So they come later. There is a massive technological gap between the North American shale world and the rest. And it’s getting wider. And weirder.

Under the agreement, Halliburton and Sekal are collaborating on several technologies and services that incorporate Halliburton digitally integrated well construction solutions and the Sekal DrillTronics automation platform.
