Israel says it can’t increase gas exports, prioritizing domestic demand

I understand it’s exciting to play around on the international export market floor. But those gas reserves are the best chance Israel has to become a lot more energy independent. For a nation that’s beleaguered by hostility all around this should be a prime concern. If Israel used the gas to gasify transport it could reduce oil imports and at the same time do something for its environment. It’s a small country with a very insular transport industry so one would not need many LCNG fueling stations and innovative as I know Israelis are, they will make the gas value chain their own and improve on it.
