Japan’s Osaka Gas looks to Europe to sell spare LNG cargoes

Another Asian utility to build siphoning off capacity for its home market. Those players won’t be in Europe to make money. They are here in Europe in order to provide overspill protection to the LNG market. They can afford to lose cash and still won’t go out as making money it’s not their objective.

Japan's Osaka Gas has offered two liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes from the newly-commissioned Freeport LNG project in the United States for delivery into Europe, industry sources said.
