Manchester plans world’s largest battery to tackle intermittent wind energy

May I suggest a little tweak? How about all the politicians that are in favor of this thing in and around Manchester guarantee with their private fortunes that the figures that have been presented by this venture won’t be exceeded by more than 10% and if it fails to recoup its investments their private fortunes plus future pensions will be taken as collateral. It’s easy to be generous with money they did not have to work for. Politicians should have skin in the game – real skin. When they mess up they should be on the hook – at least for a bit. Time to give them an incentive to do their best for the communities they pretend to serve. Otherwise, it’s a free for all just like now.
