New study finds electric vehicles are driven less than gas cars

Sure they are. Pretty much all Electric Vehicles owners I know have them for status. Not for doing what a car is actually supposed to do. They have a gas car for everything that needs reliability, endurance, and economics. So EVs are second cars and third cars for those that can afford them. Pretty much no one in the lower income bracket I know has an EV. They can’t afford status bling and have little time to show off their green credentials. They are busy generating income to pay taxes which are then used to subsidize the show-off vehicles of those with much higher incomes.

One of the largest studies to date finds the current generation of EV owners drive far fewer miles than owners of gas vehicles, translating to lower emissions savings from EVs.
