New study reveals cracks beneath giant, methane gushing craters

Massive volumes of methane are created by abiotic processes deep inside Earth. And they bleed into the atmosphere by gargantuan amounts. This happens for billions of years now. Why is it a problem now if the planet was just fine with it for billions of years.
