Peer Review & The Continuous Formation Of The Expertocracy

I would be fine with peer review if just anyone could do it. If it was an open system where reviews compete so the best may win. And also where peer reviewers are subject to review themselves. When they mess up this must go onto their scorecards. But thats not what bit is today. It’s an institution that works as a giant censorship bureau. It has declared that all the truth they ever need has already been found and that anything that does not comply with this one unalterable truth must be ripped out root and stem. Peer review is fundamentally broken. It should not only be ditched but be treated as the mark of bias it truly is.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
