President Obama: “The First Amendment Does Not Apply to … Facebook and Twitter”

How does the First Amendment not apply to Facebook and Twitter? Its part of the US constitution and is one of the fundamental principles that permeate everything and if such a principle is limited it’s worth nothing as there will always be those riding the exceptions train. In my own country, we don’t have a constitutional general principle for free speech and we are worse off for it. Any society that cannot survive the fire of dissent is not much of a society but the dictatorship of the majority. Thats not what the founding fathers wanted.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
