Putin does not want to be beholden to transit countries. I don’t blame him. I would not want to be in such a situation as well. Transit countries use their geographical situation in order to extract the highwayman’s toll. That being said, it’s just one of those realities to live with. Most of the Russian gas would have been stranded without the economics of a machine gun.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
