Russia says Nord Stream pipeline leaks were in US zone

So, where is the US zone in the Baltic Sea exactly? I don’t remember seeing any US territory on a map of the region. That being said, the Russian gas complex that has been built to replace the legacy Soviet fields and their delivery systems are Ponzi schemes that will hardly find any peers outside China. Russians milked Soviet assets for decades for almost free. Easy money. When they finally had to do it anew as the old stuff has run its course, the economics are not as seductive anymore. I would want to cover that up with whatever I can do. Wouldn’t you?

Moscow’s claims come as Sweden reports a fourth leak.
