Sanctions-stalled LNG project to run on Russian-made turbines

Good luck with that. Russian tech is not famous except for spectacularly breaking down. Those turbines are not off-the-shelf items. They are giant machines worth billions and there are not many companies that can manufacture then reliably. When I was a kid, I saw a newspaper with a man cleaving wood on the title page. The subtitle said “Russian, splitting matter”. It’s not quite that bad but the last generation of well-educated engineers in Russia went to school and university in the Soviet Union. Anything younger is to be used with caution.
