Saudi energy minister likens impact of coronavirus to a ‘house on fire’

Saudi Arabia is in a pickle. Current oil prices don’t cover their requirements anymore. Other OPEC nations cheat on their reduction commitments. The biggest customer (China) is in heavy demand trouble and as soon as prices go up a tic, shale drillers ramp up production snapping up whatever available market there is. Sure they are worried.

Saudi Arabia gave the clearest signal yet of its concerns about the impact of the coronavirus on oil markets, comparing the situation to a blaze that needs the fire brigade.
