Shell, SLB, Amazon Web Services collaborate to deliver subsurface digital solutions to oil, gas industry

When some of the largest companies on Earth collaborate on something it either becomes transformational or its a total trainwreck. And we certainly have seen some very impressive trainwrecks coming from such collaboration. That said, whatever it’s going to be – success or failure – I have a feeling that it will change the playing field because sometimes the fallout of even a failed project changes things. So, let’s see what this is going to be.

The digital workflows will use the OSDU Data Platform standards to improve the positive customer experience by business users—increasing efficiency and collaboration, while producing better insights to Shell and the energy industry.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
