Tapping Vaca Muerta shale could turn Argentina into net gas exporter, says Shell

Vaca Muerta could do much better than only making Argentina a gas exporter. It could be one of the bricks for a new foundation of Argentinian manufacturing. The famously arduous Argentinian system and its addiction to socialist adventures will have to be curbed plus an elite of those who benefit from the status quo will have to be neutralized. That’s a very tall order. So only gas from Vaca Muerta won’t do it – but if Miley can turn the country around, a combination of cheap energy plus reasonable labor costs with an educated population might just be the thing to push the country out of its misery.
